This Privacy Policy describes how M/s VRA Enterprises, operating under the brand "BucketIn" ("BucketIn", "we", "us", or "our"), collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information of users of the BucketIn website (www.bucketin.in) and the BucketIn mobile application (together, the "Platform"). This Policy is published in accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act"), to the extent notified and in force.
By providing your information and accepting this Policy through a clear affirmative action at registration (such as ticking the consent checkbox), you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in this Policy. Consent to processing necessary for the core Services is required to provide them; consent for optional purposes is sought separately and may be withdrawn at any time.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Identity & Contact Information: name, phone number, email address, gender, delivery address(es), provided at registration or order placement.

We use the information collected for the following purposes:
- To create and manage your account and process Orders and Subscriptions.
- To schedule pickups/deliveries and coordinate with our processing facility and delivery personnel.
- To process payments and issue GST-compliant invoices.
- To send transactional and service-related communications via SMS, email, or app notifications, including order status, OTPs, and billing reminders.
- To respond to support requests, complaints, and loss/damage claims.
- To improve Platform functionality, detect fraud, and maintain service quality.
- To send promotional communications, where you have opted in; you may opt out at any time.
3. Legal Basis & Consent
We process your personal data on the basis of your consent at the time of registration and order placement, for the performance of the service contract between you and BucketIn, and, where applicable, to comply with our statutory obligations, including under GST law. Consent for optional data uses (such as promotional communication or precise location access) can be withdrawn at any time through the Platform settings or by writing to us, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out prior to withdrawal.
In accordance with Section 6 of the DPDP Act, the consent we rely on is free, specific, informed, unconditional, and unambiguous, given through a clear affirmative action, and limited to the personal data necessary for the stated purpose. You may withdraw your consent at any time through the Platform settings or by writing to us; withdrawal will not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out prior to it, and may limit our ability to provide certain Services.
5. Data Storage & Security
We implement reasonable technical and organisational security practices, consistent with the SPDI Rules, 2011, including access controls, encrypted transmission of payment data (handled by Easebuzz), and restricted internal access to customer data on a need-to-know basis. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Cross-Border Data Transfer
Your personal data is primarily stored and processed on servers located in India. Certain service providers we rely on (including cloud hosting, analytics, and messaging providers such as WhatsApp/Meta) may process limited personal data on servers located outside India. Where personal data is transferred outside India, such transfer is made in accordance with the DPDP Act and only to jurisdictions not restricted by the Central Government, and we require such providers to maintain confidentiality and security protections equivalent to those described in this Policy.
7. Data Breach Notification
In the event of a personal data breach, we will take prompt measures to contain and mitigate it and will notify the Data Protection Board of India and each affected user in the manner and within the timelines prescribed under the DPDP Act and the rules made thereunder.
8. Data Retention
We retain personal data for as long as your account remains active and for a reasonable period thereafter to comply with tax, accounting, and legal record-keeping obligations (including GST invoicing records, typically retained for the statutory period prescribed under the CGST Act). Data no longer required for these purposes will be securely deleted or anonymised.
9. Your Rights
Subject to applicable law (including the DPDP Act, once its rules are notified and in force), you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Request deletion of your account and associated personal data, subject to statutory retention requirements.
- Withdraw consent for optional processing (e.g., marketing communications, location access).
- Nominate another individual to exercise your rights in the event of your death or incapacity, as provided under the DPDP Act.
- Register a grievance with the Data Protection Board of India if you believe your rights under the DPDP Act have been infringed, after first raising the matter with our Grievance Officer.
Requests may be submitted to info@bucketin.in and will be addressed within a reasonable timeframe, and in any event within the period prescribed by applicable law.
11. Children's Privacy
The Platform is intended for use by individuals aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected data from a minor without appropriate consent, we will take steps to delete such data.
